For creating better motor, social, emotional, and cognitive skills in children, we must give them an atmosphere that’s filled with physical activity. Children whose childhood education gave enormous importance to physical activity will remain committed to lifelong physical activity.

At First Wings School, we have built up an environment that gives a lot of emphasis on physical development along with mental development. Yoga and sports as well as craft and drawing, all become part of daily activity of a student in our school.

We have a lot of indoor and outdoor activities lined up for our students.

Sports

It is important for children to spend a good amount of their time playing different sports. It can help children get exercise, improve their physical abilities, develop camaraderie with fellow beings, learn teamwork, learn to play fair and improve their self confidence and self-esteem. Therefore, at First Wings School, we give sports a lot of importance and children are encouraged to play sports and games that would help them in their overall development. Teachers make sure that children indulge in sports safely and learn important life lessons from it.

Craft

Teaching crafting skills can improve the creativity and motor skills of a child. Completion of craft and art works gives children a sense of achievement, which is of paramount importance for creating self-esteem in the minds of children. Creation of craft and art works needs focus and concentration. We give a lot of importance to craft and arts at First Wings School. Children are trained to use their imagination and problem-solving skills to come up with art works. They are appreciated for their creativity, which encourages them to consistently use their imagination.

Drawing

Children like to draw, and it is how they express themselves as an important form of communication. Learning drawing skills can improve the motor skills of children and they can use their creativity and imagination to come up with great drawings. Making drawings also improves hand-eye coordination of kids, which could become critical in their adult life. At First Wings School, we guide children in using their vision in coming up with drawings and pictures. They are encouraged to use different tools in making their drawing, which can improve their all-round abilities as well.

Dance

Dance is more than a physical exercise; it is a creative outlet that gives children an opportunity to express their creative flair. Dance is a stress buster, and it can make children feel physically refreshed and creatively engaged. At First Wings School, we encourage children to spend their time on group dancing, which is learning to socialize – an important aspect of a child’s cognitive development. Our teachers guide them in learning a group dance routine that teach them critical lessons in listening, teamwork, patience, and leadership skills.

Stage activity

At First Wings School, we strive towards the overall development of every child. It is essential that children develop the confidence to stand in front of a crowd and speak about what he or she believes in. We engage children in various stage activities including storytelling, poem recitation, speeches, and singing that are significant for socio-emotional development of a child. We make sure that stage activities also improve your child’s communication, ability to focus and memorize scripts, as well as develop their recollection abilities.

Storytelling

We realize how children like listening to stories, and at First Wing School, our teachers tell stories that develop imagination of students. Storytelling activity for children will help them to develop their language and communication skills. It can also help them in improving their cultural understanding and sharpens their memory and recollection abilities. Storytelling also helps them in strengthening their social skills. Our teachers guide children in becoming effective storytellers so that they grow up and become confident adults.

Festival Celebrations

India is blessed with many festivals and celebrating each one of them provides great occasions for children to expand their knowledge horizon. Festivals bring a sense of belonging to communities and children can learn about the importance of working together, while they celebrate festivals along with other children. At First Wings School, we celebrate every festival, so that children will learn and understand how to share work with everyone and the joy of achieving together. Children also learn the importance of bonding together, values of sharing, and the significance of understanding different culture.

Yoga

Yoga improves physical flexibility and promotes physical strength of children. It also teaches them to regulate their breathing. Yoga is all about self-discovery and children can boost their self-confidence by its regular practice. At First Wings School, we realise the importance of children practising Yoga and hence give them all encouragement to practice the activity.
